Sylhet Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited organised a discussion titled “Compliance of Shariah in the Banking Operations” and client get-together in its Zindabazar branch recently, said a statement.
Prof. Md. Nazmul Hassan, Ph.D, Independent Director of the bank addressed the programme as the chief guest.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdus Samad, Member Secretary of the Shariah Supervisory Committee addressed as chief discussant. Presided over by Muhammad Sayeed Ullah, Senior Vice President and Head of Sylhet Zone, the event was addressed by Md. Shamsoddoha, Senior Vice President of the bank as special guest.
The meeting discussed the duties and responsibilities of the banker and client for maintaining Shariah compliance, said a statement.
Businesspersons and employees of the bank attended the programme.
