Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) inaugurated CellFin App, digital platform on Monday at Islami Bank Tower, says a press release.
Professor Md Nazmul Hassan, chairman of the bank, was present in the programme as the chief guest. Dr Tanveer Ahmad, director of the bank addressed the programme as special guest.
Presided over by Md Mahbub ul Alam, managing Director and CEO of the bank, the programme was addressed among others by additional managing directors Mohammed Monirul Moula, Muhammad Qaisar Ali and Md Omar Faruk Khan, deputy managing directors Taher Ahmed Chowdhury and Md Mosharraf Hossain, and senior executive vice president Abul Faiz Muhammad Kamaluddin.
Executives, clients and well wishers were also connected to the programme virtually.
The new app with the slogan 'Banking and Beyond' has all other financial services including banking. Instant Visa Card, e-KYC based bank aaccount opening without branch support, direct fund transfer to other bank/card through EFT and NPSB, Add Money, Request Money, E-Commerce/Merchant Payment, Credit Card Bill Payment, Utility Bill Payment, Ticketing and Remittance receive through VISA direct service and other banking services are available in CellFin App.
The App has the facility of adding any card, account and ‘mCash’, mobile banking account of IBBL, funds transfer from any VISA or MasterCard, shopping through QR code, mobile recharge, instant balance inquiry and instant card/account statement.
The CellFin App also features services like payment and receipt of school, college, university tuition fees, cash out from ATM without card, mCash transfer, sending money to account-less person through cash by code. Any Bangladeshi citizen with a national identity card can open an instant CellFin account through smart phone.
Professor Md Nazmul Hassan said that IBBL has made significant progress in the use of financial technology and digital banking services. IBBL has been gaining global recognition overcoming the national border of the country by dint of providing technology-rich modern banking services, he added.
CellFin App of IBBL is the gateway to face the financial challenge during Covid-19, Mr Hassan mentioned.
IBBL is currently serving clients through 366 branches, 146 sub-branches, 1,873 agent banking outlets, more than 1,500 own and about 11,000 shared ATM and CRM booths.
