Islami Bank Bangaldesh Limited achieved Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) Version 3.2.1 certificate for ensuring customer data protection.
Muhammad Qaisar Ali, additional managing director of the bank, received the certificate from President of Certification Organisation of ‘Control Case’ Suresh Dadlani at a hotel in Dhaka on Sunday, according to a press release.
Md. Omar Faruk Khan and J Q M Habibullah, FCS, additional managing directors; Md. Altaf Hossain, Md. Nayer Azam, Md. Siddiqur Rahman & Abul Faiz Muhammad Kamaluddin, deputy managing directors; Md. Mostafizur Rahman Siddiquee, chief human resources officer; and S M Mizanur Rahman, chief information security officer; along with other executives of both organisations attended the programme.
As per PCIDSS guidelines, Islami Bank received the award for ensuring strong and advanced network, regular monitoring and maintenance. PCIDSS policy was created to ensure additional services to card issuers, user and payment service providers for the popularity of online shopping and simultaneous increase in card transactions. The Certificate of PCIDSS is recognition for acceptance of financial institutions.
