The Global Society for Supply Chain Professionals (GSSCP) recently formed a 19-member executive committee with Tanzil Aslam as its president, says a statement.
Surajit Mukherjee is the vice president and Manikantha Howlader the general secretary.
The executive committee was formally announced through a ‘Meet n Greet’ session in the capital.
The ‘Meet n Greet’ session also marked the GSSCP’s journey in Bangladesh. Leading and experienced supply chain professionals of different local and multinational companies joined the programme, held at Gulshan.
With the rising demand globally, supply chain management has become an important concept in most of the businesses and industries in Bangladesh that deals with core business driving issues like strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiation, risk analysis, forecasting, operation and project management, customer service, commercial logistics and marketing management, the statement said.
“Aligned with the trend, GSSCP is intended to create a nationwide global standard network of supply chain professionals and organisations to achieve success by offering one stop professional solution with advanced resources, training and concepts for the members to represent increasing potential in the field,” the session was told.
