The government raised the jet fuel price by 5.35 per cent to Tk 118 per litre from the previous rate of Tk 112 per litre last week.
State-run Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) raised the price of jet fuel, also known as aviation fuel, for both domestic and international flights.
This is the 18th hike in jet fuel price in the last 27 months.
With the rise in jet fuel prices, air tickets are likely to be costlier, industry insiders said.
Air travel will inevitably cost more as the consequences.
