Local jewelers have revised gold prices with an upward trend to keep it compatible with those of international market.
The new price will be effective from Friday, according to a statement by Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BJS).
As per new rates, the price of a gramme of 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 4,480 from Tk 4,350.
A gramme of 21-carat gold would cost Tk 4,280 which is currently sold at Tk 4,150.
Prices of 18-carat gold have been fixed at Tk 3,830 from Tk 3,700.
The price of one gramme of traditional gold (Sanatani) price has also been increased by Tk 75 to Tk 2,350.
According to the traditional measure, the price of per Bhori (11.664 gramme) of 22-carat gold would be TK 52,224.
Silver prices, however, remains unchanged.
Earlier to this, the prices of gold was hiked on January 10.
