Garlock, a leading manufacturer of high-performance fluid sealing products, has expanded its operations in the Asia-Pacific region, aiming to grow in Asia outside of the mature markets.
Since the acquisition of Rubber Fab, a Garlock hygienic technologies company that supplies sanitary gaskets, hoses, and fittings for hygienic process industries such as pharmaceutical, bio-processing, and food & beverage, the company has been expanding the reach of Rubber Fab’s wide range of products.
In order to drive the growth of the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical market segments across the entire Asia Pacific region, Garlock Singapore has been strategically positioned as a regional hub, that also manages business in Southeast Asia, including Japan and Korea, according to a Media Outreach statement Tuesday.
Managing Director of Garlock Singapore Angelia Kay said, “Rubber Fab’s critical process consumables are being met with rising demand, and a bolstered focus on manufacturing and warehousing was needed to best serve customers in the region.”
The official added they are anticipating exciting growth opportunities in the food and pharmaceutical markets because of their expanded capabilities of offering localised service, fast response times and shorter deliveries.
Rubber Fab, in their first year of operation in 2018 across the Asia-Pacific region, saw a significant rise in the number of customers. They also invested to build up significant inventory holding and dedicated sales and support team to better serve Asia customers in the same time zone.
