The government has served a show-cause notice on four e-commerce platforms seeking their explanations on 'creating instability' in the e-commerce sector by announcing abnormal offers.
The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has sent the notice to Dalal, Allshopbar, Thole and Anoderbazar and asked the firms to submit the explanation within October 17 next.
The ministry also asked the platform to provide the volume of their liabilities to the consumers and merchants. It also sought their plan regarding payment of their liabilities.
