The Foreign Investors’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) delegation met the new Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and discussed strengthening the investment friendly economy in the country.
The FICCI delegation team led by its President Naser Ezaz Bijoy and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Standard Chartered Bank met BIDA Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Miah on Thursday at BIDA premises.
The FICCI delegation congratulated the new Executive Chairman and expressed their interest to work hand in hand with BIDA like in previous years, and appreciated that BIDA holds a relationship with FICCI even during the crisis periods like global pandemic.
Lokman Hossain Miah discussed the scope of working together to build a better investment friendly economy.
FICCI, as a key partner of BIDA, has embraced several spirited actions that express some core priorities, and aims to continue to engage in bringing forth purposeful change by working more closely with the government.
FICCI President mentioned continuing investment promotion and seek support from BIDA in the process.
FICCI’s resilient efforts to improve the investment climate of Bangladesh are always appreciated by BIDA and allow its members to conduct business with ease by reshaping the economy.
The meeting was also attended by FICCI board of directors including Riad Mamun Prodhani, Managing Director and Country President, Novartis (Bangladesh) Ltd; Abdur Rashid, Managing Director, SGS Bangladesh Limited and T. I. M. Nurul Kabir, Executive Director, FICCI.
