A Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) team has left Dhaka for Vietnam to discuss and finalise details of the upcoming ‘Vietnam-Bangladesh Business Forum’.
The FBCCI and the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam will jointly organise the business forum on March 6 in Dhaka, during the visit of Vietnam President H. E. Mr. Trần Đại Quang.
The Vietnam President will be present and deliver the key note speech at the business meeting, according to a media release.
FBCCI President Md Shafiul Islam along with Senior Vice President and other members of the trade body left Dhaka on Sunday.
During the visit, the delegation will meet Vietnam Vice-Minister for Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Trung and Vice-Minister for Informatics and Communication Phan Tam.
The body will also meet the representatives of Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in the visit.
The visit of Vietnam President and the arrangement of the business forum will open up new window to develop the economic relation between the two friendly countries, the release said.
His state visit to Bangladesh may play an important role to boost up the bilateral trade relation between Bangladesh and Vietnam.
It is expected that the visit will facilitate to improve the trade gap between the two countries through investment and expansion of existing trade.
The FBCCI will create the opportunity to find out potential sectors and to develop investment as well as joint venture investment through ‘Business 2 Business’ discussion, said the release.
