A delegation of Facebook said the social media platform will look at Bangladesh-related issues in the light of the country's laws, tradition, culture, values and rules and regulations as much as possible.
The Facebook (FB) also said it will step up responding to the requests from Bangladesh authorities regarding its contents relating to militancy, religious incitement and anti-state elements.
The assurance came when a delegation from regional headquarters of Facebook in Singapore met Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar in Dhaka recently.
According to the ministry, Facebook has recently trained a group of Bangladeshi officials on how to report a content they want to be removed.
The relation between Facebook and the government has improved significantly.
Facebook currently responds to around 40 per cent of requests of the government while the rate of response was almost zero a few years back.
