Merchandise export to Russia from Bangladesh increased by 6.23 per cent during July-May period of the current fiscal year.
Statistics furnished by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) showed that the export to Russia stood at $451.49 million during the period under review.
The amount was $425.02 million in the first 11 months of the past fiscal year.
The EPB data also showed that the annual export to Russia stood at $464.62 million in FY17.
Readymade garments (RMG) are the major exportable items to Russia, which is hosting the quadrennial FIFA World Cup this year.
Bangladesh exported RMG worth $399.12 million in July-May period of FY18.
