Evercare Hospital Chattogram to open in April

CHATTOGRAM: Evercare Hospital, Chattogram, a 470-bed multi-disciplinary super-specialty hospital of Evercare Group, will be opened in the port city next month.

The Evercare Group, which operates as an integrated healthcare delivery platform in emerging markets across Africa and South Asia, including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kenya and Nigeria, has constructed the hospital in the city's Ananna Residential Area.

All preparations to open the hospital have already been completed and it will be opened in the second week of April, said officials of the Evercare Group at a press conference in the port city on Saturday morning.

Evercare Group Chief Executive Officer Massimiliano Colella addressed the event. Dr. Ratnadeep Chaskar, CEO of Evercare Hospital, Dhaka, was also present.

Mr Colella read out a written statement at the press briefing and also answered questions of journalists.

He said Evercare Hospital, Chattogram, will be the first-ever internationally-acclaimed hospital in the port city which will elevate the standard of medical care and set the benchmark for healthcare going forward.

"It gives us great pleasure to bring global healthcare services to the people of Chattogram," he said.

"Evercare Hospital, Chattogram, is the first-ever 470-bed multi-disciplinary super-specialty, tertiary care hospital in Chattogram. I am proud that the Evercare Group and our teams in Bangladesh are leading the way as we work together to transform healthcare in our markets," Mr Colella said.

Dr. Ratnadeep Chaskar said that Evercare Hospital, Chattogram, would build a strong synergy between leading consultants and physicians, support services and leading technology at their internationally-accredited hospital in Dhaka and the same best practices would be implemented in Chattogram.

"We are truly committed to making renowned medical services easily accessible to people in their own city, thereby negating the need to travel overseas," he added.

Equipped with the latest technology and more than 500 best in class medical professionals, the hospital will provide quality, accessible healthcare to improve patient outcomes for communities, officials of the hospital said.

The hospital, which spans 492,000 sft, features 24/7 Emergency Department, state of the art Intensive Care Units (ICU) and 27 specialties and subspecialties filling capacity gaps in the region. It is larger in scale and capacity than its sister hospital, Evercare Hospital Dhaka, the only JCI accredited hospital in Bangladesh, said the officials.

The Evercare Group employs 10,350 employees and its portfolio includes 29 hospitals, 16 clinics, 75 diagnostics centres and two brownfield assets.

Evercare is wholly owned by the Evercare Health Funds, a US $1.0 billion emerging markets healthcare fund managed by The Rise Funds, the impact investment platform of global alternative asset manager TPG.

The Evercare Health Fund comprises leading development finance institutions and other impact investors in the globe.
