Bangladesh is likely to see a higher growth in its manufacturing exports in the current fiscal year, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) said in a report in Bangkok.
The manufacturing exports would register 7.2 per cent growth in terms of value and 5.7 per cent growth in terms of volume, it said in the annual flagship publication ‘Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2018’ released on Monday.
The rates in value and volume terms were 5.0 per cent and 1.4 per cent respectively in the past fiscal year, the UNESCAP added.
Manufacturing exports of Bangladesh in the first ten months of this fiscal year, however, registered 6.41 per cent growth in value terms.
