EMRD spends 54pc of ADP allocation in H1

The Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD) has spent on an average 54.14 per cent of the allocation against the projects being implemented under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) during the first half (July-December) of the current fiscal year (FY 2018-19).

A project review meeting of the EMRD under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (MPEMR) at Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday revealed the implementation status of the projects.

"Demonstrate visible progress of the projects," State Minister of the MPEMR Nasrul Hamid told the meeting, underscoring the need for accelerating further the pace of the project works.

He also stressed on enhanced enthusiasm by the state-run entities like Petrobangla, Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Ltd (BAPEX) and Geological Survey of Bangladesh (GSB) to facilitate implementation of the projects.

Mr. Hamid called upon the senior officials of the EMRD to work with dedication for implementing the 'Vision 2041' and the 'Delta Plan'.

Energy Secretary Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem and senior officials of the EMRD took part in the meeting.
