Bangladesh is a fast growing aviation market with annual growth rate exceeding that of global average.
Emirates always considers Bangladesh as one of the most important destinations in its global network. The airline wants to tap the potential of Bangladesh market and meet the demands of local travellers.
The observations came at a press briefing organised by Emirates in Sylhet yesterday (Wednesday).
Talking to media at the event, Saeed Abdulla Miran, the newly appointed Emirates area manager in Bangladesh, highlighted the special features of products and services the airline is offering to its Bangladeshi clientele.
Mr Miran hoped that the airline will be able to offer even better services in the near future.
“Emirates started its operations in Bangladesh on October 27, 1986 with two weekly flights. Dhaka was the eighth destination in our international network. Since then, our partnership has continued to blossom with the airline offering world class services to Bangladeshi travellers,” said Mr Miran, adding that Emirates now operates three daily flights from Dhaka with wide-body Boeing 777-300 aircraft.
“Emirates maintains its own office in Sylhet and offers complimentary air conditioned bus service for its passengers from the region”, Mr Miran informed.
“Passengers can enjoy over 3,500 channels in our award winning in-flight entertainment system with a selection of Bengali movies and dedicated TV channels for Bangladeshi customers. We offer specially created subcontinental regional menus that suit the palates of our Bangladeshi customers on all Emirates flights,” he added.
