Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL), a leading private sector bank in the country has been adjudged ‘Best Cash Management Bank’ and ‘Best Trade Finance Bank’ in Bangladesh at The Asian Banker Transaction Awards 2018, said a statement.
Ziaul Karim, Head of Brand and Communications of EBL received the prestigious awards on behalf of the Bank at a ceremony, held on May 24 in conjunction with The Asian Banker Future of Finance Summit 2018 at China World Hotel, Beijing.
This summit was attended by about 2,000 elite bankers and financial services practitioners from over 30 countries across the world.
The Asian Banker Transaction Awards is the most rigorous, prestigious and transparent annual awards programme recognising leadership in cash management, trade finance, supply chain finance and payments amongst domestic and international financial institutions in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
Eastern Bank earlier won the ‘ Best Retail Bank in Bangladesh ’award by The Asian Banker for consecutive six years ( 2013-18) , ‘ Best Corporate and Investment Bank of Bangladesh’ award by the Asiamoney for consecutive two years( 2016 and 2017). EBL was adjudged ‘Best Bank in Bangladesh’ by EuroMoney for consecutive two years (2016 and 2017) and by by FinanceAsia in 2017.
