Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL) signed an agreement with CCR Manager in Singapore recently, paving the way for EBL to join a rapidly growing community of leading global banks.
Md. Obaidul Islam, Head of Financial Institutions and Offshore Banking of EBL and Tan Kah Chye, Chairman of CCR Manager signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Obaidul Islam hopes that CCR Manager will enable EBL to maximize its reach to a broader group of partner banks globally as well as provide its customers with a unique proposition to support their international trade businesses.
This announcement is aligned with EBL’s digital strategy to lead innovative solutions and technological advancement in the region and follows the landmark assignment of Counterparty Risk Ratings by International Rating Agency, Moody’s, to EBL.
EBL Head of Trade Operations, Md. Mokaddas and Derek Ong of CCR Manager along with other senior executives of the organization were also present, said a statement.
