A three-day photo exhibition featuring 41 photographs by Eastern Bank employees begins at Drik Gallery of Dhanmondi in the capital.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak, minister of State for ICT Division, inaugurated the photo exhibition as chief guest, says a press release.
Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director of EBL and also the chief executive officer of the bank was also present at the exhibition on Sunday.
The theme for this year's contest was 'Rivers of Bangladesh.' The contest is being organised as part of EBL's employee engagement programme since 2012, says a media release.
Earlier, 174 entries were received from the employees for the annual photo contest.
The jury board renowned photographers Hasan Saifuddin Chandan, KM Asad and Din Muhammad Shibly selected 12 best images for the 2018 calendar of the bank and picked up the winners.
The managing director & also the CEO of the bank said, “At EBL we believe that employees are our greatest asset. Many of them possess unique talents. The competition is designed to spot the latent talents in them and connect them emotionally with the brand EBL.”
Destined Destination by Md Rubel Hossain of regulatory affairs, cards, consumer banking won the first prize in the competition.
Riasat Rakin's Leisure gave him the second prize. He is from Corporate Banking, the release said.
Timeliness by Sayed Ishtiak Ahmed of Dohar branch, won the third prize.
