Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) has been awarded the ‘Best Bank in Bangladesh 2018’ trophy by Euromoney, a London-based monthly magazine focused on business and finance.
The bank received the award for the third consecutive year at a ceremony held on Wednesday last at JW Marriott hotel in Hong Kong, according to a media release.
Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO of the bank received the award in presence of Euromoney Editor Clive Horwood and CEO of EBL Finance (Hong Kong) Limited Sohail Murshed.
Bangladesh was first included in the list of Euromoney Awards for Excellence in 2014.
