‘Dorpon’- the ecommerce marketplace for unique and creative handmade goods has launched its journey recently, said a statement.
The website of Dorpon www.mydorpon.com was launched to facilitate the buying and selling of unique traditional handicrafts. This marketplace makes shopping very easy and convenient for the handicraft enthusiasts.
Dorpon provides a platform where any creative entrepreneur will be able to setup their shops, display their products, set right price, promote them, sell them and deliver them to the end-customers. The main objective is to eliminate intermediaries and empower real producers of creative goods.
Firoz Ahmed Khan, CEO of Dorpon, made the opening remarks for this ceremony and introduced ‘Dorpon’ to the guests.
Muhammad A. Rumee Ali, Chairman of Dorpon, as well as the Board of Directors also talked about the venture and its future in the country as an e-commerce marketplace.

The launching ceremony showcased traditional Bangladeshi handicrafts as well as unique tribal handmade products, created by the Dorpon artisans throughout the country. Some of the products that were exhibited include exclusive handicrafts such as Dhakai Jamdani, Jewelry, Jute products, Nakshi Kantha, Rickshaw Paint etc. The exhibition attracted distinguished guests from the top officials of the corporate, as well as media celebrities of the country.
