A three-day International Digital Commerce Expo-2021 is expected to begin October 31 in a bid to enhance the export market and create the demand for the country's products in the global market, officials said.
The programme will also contribute to improving the country's e-commerce sector, a high official of Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) informed.
The online expo will jointly be organised by the BFTI and e-Commerce Association Bangladesh (eCAB).
A concept paper on the event was presented to Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi at a meeting. The commerce minister, in principle, consented to organising the fair. To this end, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has already been finalised which will be signed soon.
As many as 200 exhibitors and service providers from the e-commerce industry will participate in the three-day-long virtual event.
Over 50,000 visitors including top e-commerce leaders from the government and private sector of Bangladesh and abroad will participate in the fair.
