The government has raised prices of diesel and kerosene by Tk 15 per litre with effect from Thursday, said an official circular.
With the increase, a litre of both diesel and kerosene will be sold at Tk 80 at the consumers level from the previous rate of Tk 65.
The Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) revised the prices of diesel and kerosene upward to help lessen the losses on account of marketing the products in the domestic market at lower than the global market rates, it added.
