Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) inked MoU with Institute of Chartered Secretaries Bangladesh (ICSB) and Daffodil International University (DIU) on Monday.
DCCI President Shams Mahmud, President of ICSB Muzaffar Ahmed and Acting Vice Chancellor of DIU Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahbubul Haque signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organisations, according to a statement.
Mr. Shams Mahmud said a strong secretariat and its effective compliance play a vital role in making a company help economic development in the country.
He suggested designing new modules of professional courses jointly by DCCI Business institute and ICSB.
Mr. Mahmud said industry sector of Bangladesh needs huge skilled professionals and universities in our country should focus on providing such skilled workforce.
Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University Dr. Md. Sabur Khan urged upon DBI to conduct research to identify resourceful course module so that universities can outline such curriculum. For the development of economy, industries and academia should work hand in hand.
He also urged ensuring an entrepreneur-friendly curriculum so that after the academic carrier a student can target to be a new entrepreneur.
President of ICSB Muzaffar Ahmed said research is an important element for economic development. Private sector can play a driving role for the development of research, he said. An efficient secretariat helps the company to grow financially, he added.
