Daraz sales rise 6.0pc on Baishakhi fest

 Bangladesh's e-commerce platform Daraz celebrated the 'Baishakhi mela' for the third time. The 16-day 'Baishakhi mela' started on March 30 and ended on April 14, says a press release.

During the campaign, sales increased by 6.0 per cent compared to usual days.

There were various lucrative offers for this campaign such as free delivery, up to 77 per cent discount on all products, flash sale, brand voucher, etc.  The co-sponsors of this campaign were- Harpic, Tata tea, Sunsilk, Esquire Electronics, Dettol and Radio Today.

Popular celebrities of recent times, Safa Kabir and Nusrat Faria participated in the TV and Daraz Facebooklive programmes as part of the campaign.

Besides, like previous years, there were different kinds of lucrative vouchers for this campaign as well. Due to consumer's huge interest, enthusiasm and request, double taka vouchers were made available on April 6. Double taka voucher stock ran out within three minutes.

On the fifth day of the Pahela Baishakh campaign, there was 100 per cent more sales compared to last year and on the ninth day the sale rose to 200 per cent.
