Daraz Bangladesh, a leading online marketplace of the country, has arranged the Daraz Championship Case 2018 for the second time at Six Seasons Hotel in the capital recently.
Students from 10 reputed universities, including North South University, BRAC University, Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, Rajshahi University, participated in the competition.
A total of 100 candidates of the universities were divided into 12 groups in the case study compilation, said a media release.
Out of the twelve teams, four teams won in the two-day competition which was held on 29th May and 30th May. First winner got a Daraz voucher worth Tk 40,000.
On the first day of the event, judge panel briefed the participants about the case studies. And then they were given four different case studies and three hours to solve.
On the second day, the contestants gave group-wise presentations which were followed by a question-answer session.
After that, four winning teams were presented awards during the award- giving ceremony.
All the candidates of winning team will get a chance for giving interviews for the Daraz Future Leadership Programme, the release said.
The candidates who will finally make to it Daraz Future Leadership Programme after crossing multiple interview sessions, will have a journey of 18 months, where they will be rotating in three departments of their choice to know 360 degrees of the organisation.
Moreover, they will get the chance to work firsthand with the department heads & CEO’s by leading projects on a strategic level.
They will also learn how to become a leader through on the job experience, training, coaching and mentoring.
