The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will sell five daily essentials at least 7 to 10 days before the starting of upcoming Ramadan like previous years.
The daily essentials are soybean oil, sugar, red lentil, grams, and dates.
According to a UNB report, TCB official Md Humayun Kabir said they have concluded all the preparations for selling the products.
The prices of the products will be fixed after consulting with Commerce Ministry and the goods will be placed for sell in district and divisional level of the country, he said.
The essentials will be available at TCB sale-centres, dealers and open market truck sales, he said.
A total of 187 truck sales will operate during the Ramadan. Among them 35 will be in the capital, 10 in Chattogram and five each in remaining divisional areas and two in each districts across the country, he added.
In addition with it TCB has 2,784 dealers and 10 sale centres in the country.
Last year TCB sold sugar at Tk 55 per kilogramme (kg), red lentil at Tk 80 per kg, Soybean oil at Tk 85 per litre, gram at Tk 70 per kg and dates at Tk 120 per kg.
