CPTU is implementing e-GP to enhance transparency, accountability and competition in public Procurement.

There are 1300 government procuring agencies in the country. A total of 1149 procuring agencies were connected to the e-GP system as of October 25.

The CPTU under the IMED of the Ministry of Planning will implement the DIMAPPP with an overall estimated cost of $60 million by June 2022.

Of the total project cost, the IDA, the concessionary arm of the World Bank, will provide $55 million while the rest of $5.0 million will come from the state exchequer.

Earlier, the Finance Minister formally launched the CPTU's new website, while an accord was signed between LGED and CPTU.
