The Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) was held virtually on Monday, February 28, 2022.
The Board approved CPD’s plan for research, dialogue, publication and outreach-related activities for 2022. CPD Board also approved CPD’s revised budget for FY22.
CPD Board appreciated the Centre’s research and outreach-related activities during July-December 2021, according to a press release.
Some of the significant research during this period include—State of the Bangladesh Economy in FY21 (Second Reading) and CPD’s Recommendations for the National Budget FY22; Incentives for Green Investment in Bangladesh; Securing Green Transition in the Textile and RMG Sector; CPD Green City Initiative; State of the Power Sector in FY21 and Allocative Priorities in the National Budget in FY22; Potential for Transforming Bangladesh’s Healthcare through Technology; Building the RMG Sector Adhering to the United Nations Guiding Principles (UNGPs); Potential for Transforming Bangladesh’s Healthcare through Technology; Opportunities and Challenges of Establishing a Blended Finance Mechanism Involving Climate Funds in Bangladesh; Challenges of Industrial Safety in the RMG Sector at the Post-Accord-Alliance Era; Macroeconomic Challenges from Covid-19; Youth, SDG Accountability & the Voluntary Local Review: Situating Bangladesh’s Experience within the Global Context; and Industrial Safety and Workers Issues in Non-RMG Enterprises and Establishments.
