IPDC Finance Limited on Saturday arranged Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Award (BSCEA) 2018 in association with Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS) at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
It is the first ever initiative in Bangladesh to recognise and celebrate the excellence in Supply Chain Management, said a statement.
Awards were given in 7 different categories.
Nestle & BSRM received the award as global & local organizations respectively & Mushfeq ur Rahim from Nestle Bangladesh won as individual in ‘Excellence in Supply Chain Relationship Management’ category; BATB bagged the award in ‘Excellence in Supply Chain Talent Development’ category; Nestle was recognised as Special Mention in the same category; Mr.Khan Mohd. Ibrahim from American & Efird (Bangladesh) Ltd. won the individual award & Tarasima Apparels as organization in ‘Excellence in Manufacturing’ category; Aarong & CP won as the local & multinational organizations respectively in ‘Excellence in Supply Chain Finance’ category.
Abdul Alim from International Beverage Private Limited (IBPL) and Mr. Tareq Ali Khan from Nestle Bangladesh won the individual award and PHP Family & Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited were recognized as the local & multinational organization respectively in ‘Excellence in Logistics Management’ category; Besides, Ms. Alina Mazumdar from Unilever recognised as an individual under Special Mentions. BSRM and BATB were recognised as organisation under Special Mention in the same category.
In addition, Abu Hossain Khan of A H Khan & Co received Honourable Mention for his commendable journey towards the growth of Supply Chain excellence in the country.
This year’s ‘Young Supply Chain Talent of the year’ was won by Mr. Sayed Mohammad Moinuddin Morshedul Alam from BSRM as well as Mr. Sajib Dutta from BSRM as Special Mention. ‘Supply Chain Professional of the year’ award was won by Md. Shakhawat Hossain as individual from local organization DBL and Mr. Mahmud Hasan Khan as individual from multinational organization Avery Dennison.
Mr. Mohammad Imtiaz Uddin Chowdhury from BSRM and Md. Kamrul Islam from Rahimafrooz won as Special Mention from Local Organisation. Mr. Habibur Rahman from Marico Bangladesh Ltd. and Mr. Raquibul Alam from Berger bagged Special Mention from Multinational Organisation.
Awardees have been recognized on the basis of their high impact contribution during 2017 in various areas of Supply Chain Management. An independent & experienced jury panel including Prof. Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to Board of Trustees, University of Liberal Arts; Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints BD Ltd; Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Supply Chain Director, Nestle Bangladesh Ltd and S M Khaled, Program Manager, Regional Operations, British American Tobacco, Bangladesh have executed the winner selection process.
Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) was present there as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mahbubul Anam, President at Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association was the Special Guest. Moreover, Mr. Mominul Islam, Managing Director and CEO of IPDC Finance Limited; Rizwan Dawood Shams, Deputy Managing Director, IPDC Finance Limited with other high officials; Mr. Naquib Khan, Director of Corporate affairs of Nestle Bangladesh Limited and President of Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society; Ejazur Rahman, CEO-Asia, International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) and Brig Gen Shahedul Anam Khan NDC, PSC (RETD) Associate Editor, The Daily Star were present at the award ceremony.
