City Bank has been awarded the ‘Best Bank in Bangladesh 2021’ by the renowned international publication FinanceAsia.
The bank received the award for the seventh time from the Hong Kong-based journal in recognition of its good performance and innovations in the banking sector, said a press release.
FinanceAsia mentioned the City Bank’s financial growth during last year’s pandemic when most of the financial institutions were struggling to survive.
The financial inclusion of City Bank through agent banking and the partnership with bKash to introduce easy loan on the mobile platform also caught the attention of the international journal.
The award reflects City Bank's consistency, innovation, and strong competence in catering to the needs of customers and investors in the fast-evolving Bangladeshi market, according to FinanceAsia.
Upon winning the award City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser said, "This recognition is a testament to the strong foundation on which this institution has been built and also our commitment to the valued customers.”
Recently, City Bank won Asia-Money’s 'Best Digital Bank in Bangladesh 2021' award.
