City Bank and American Express on Monday announced the launch of The University of Dhaka American Express Card.
The bank has partnered with University of Dhaka to introduce this co-branded credit card for the faculty members and executives associated with the university.
Mohammed Shoeb, Chairman of City Bank, Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, Treasurer and Professor of DU, Aziz Al Kaiser, ex-chairman and currently Director of the bank and Tabassum Kaiser, Vice Chairperson, were present on the occasion as the guest of honours.
Divya Jain, Vice President and business head, global network services, South Asia, American Express, among others, also attended at the event held at the DU Business Faculty auditorium.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mohammed Shoeb said this is for the first time the bank is bringing co-branded card with an educational institute.
Faculty members and executives of the university will enjoy the great service and benefits that comes with the card, he added.
The card issued by City Bank offers customised services and benefits to provide the needs of the employees associated with the university.
Apart from this, immediately after the approval of the card, the members will be presented with welcome vouchers offering savings in various stores.
