Tiens Group, a Chinese conglomerate, has chosen Bangladesh as the first country to implement its flagship project ‘One body-Multiple wings'.
Under the major investment move, the Tianjin-based company will set up production base of healthcare products, e-commerce platform, research and development centre with collaboration of local education and research institutions and world class hotel facilities.
Chairman of the group Li Jinyuan made the disclosure at a press briefing in the city on Friday.
"We have chosen Bangladesh as it has high demands of such businesses," he said.
After Bangladesh, the group will launch the same project in other Asian, African, North and South American countries, he added.
Founded in 1995, Tiens Group expanded its business operations in more than 190 countries and regions. It came to Bangladesh in 2004 and established three branches with over 40 franchise stores.
