The 5th China-South Asia Expo (CSAEXPO) and the 25th China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair are set to begin at Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kunming, China, from June 12 next.
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Yunnan Sub-Council China Chamber of International Commerce is going to organise the seven-day events aiming to step up greater regional cooperation with South Asian countries, including Bangladesh.
A number of seminars, bilateral and multi-lateral talks and business-to-business meetings will be held on the sideline of the seven-day trade fair.
The events include the China-South Asia Business Forum, the ASEAN Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference and the Conference on Cooperation of BCIM Chamber of Commerce Alliance. Other events, where government institutions and chambers of commerce will be invited, will introduce national investment policies and environments, reports BSS.
The China-South Asia Expo aims toward ‘Win-Win Cooperation through Amity, Sincerity, Mutual Benefit and Inclusiveness’ at the level of strategic cooperation, while the theme of China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair is ‘Creating New Opportunities for New Development’.
The 4th China-South Asia Expo and the 24th Kunming Import and Export Fair had 18 pavilions and 8,000 booths where more than 5,000 exhibitors from 89 countries took part. The events registered a paid-in and contractual trade volume of 158 billion Yuan, up 1.2 per cent over the previous session.
This year, 16 Bangladeshi entrepreneurs are participating in the exhibitions for showcasing their products, mainly clothing and handicrafts.
The business entities are M/S Hridoy Silk Kuthir and Industries, M/S Join Handicrafts, Oshin Enterprise, Naya Craft, Nishorgi, M/S Style File, M/S Rupantor, Ittadi Handicrafts, M/S Lights Creation, M/S Trade Breeze, M/S Nakshi International, Sunbird Trading Company, M/S Alif Handicrafts, M/S Asian 1-99, M/S Design by Rubina and M/S Tasmi’ya Fasion House.
