BURO Bangladesh has raised the first-ever syndicated local currency loan of Tk 5.75 billion for SME financing from nine commercial banks.
Citibank, N.A. worked as the lead arranger for this syndication, according to a press statement of BURO Bangladesh.
The nine banks are: Sonali Bank, Agrani Bank, Rupali Bank, Pubali Bank, Krishi Bank, Bank Asia, Mutual Trust Bank, South East Bank, and Citibank, N.A.
A review meeting was held at BURO Bangladesh Head Office Thursday with representatives from the lender all banks.
Interim Chief Executive of Citibank, N.A. Shams Zaman, Executive Director of BURO Bangladesh Zakir Hossain and Director Finance Md Mosharraf Hossain presented their thoughts in the review meeting.
