The Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has asked Robi Axiata Limited to pay Tk 189.3 million VAT (value added tax) as License Acquisition Fee and Tech-Neutrality for 4G/LTE service within April 25.
If Robi fails to pay the money within the stipulated time then necessary legal action will be taken against it, says a BSS report citing BTRC sources.
The decision was taken at meetings of the BTRC held on April 8 and 9, and a letter was served to Robi on April 18 as per a decision of the commission, BTRC Chairman Dr Shahjahan Mahmood told UNB.
