BTMA re-elects Khokon as president

Mohammad Ali Khokon has been re-elected as the president of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) for the two consecutive terms of  2021-2022 and 2022-23.

Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Abdullah Al Mamun and Rezaul Karim have been elected as vice presidents of the association, according to a statement.

The election results of board of directors and office bearers of BTMA were declared by its election board chairman Abul Bashar at the 37th annual general meeting held on Saturday.

Mr Khokon is the managing director of Maksons Group. He is also the managing director of Maksons Spinning Mills and Metro Spinning, added the statement.

Mr Haque is the owner of Ahmmed Group. Ishraq Spinning Mills Ltd, Sajib Fashion Wear Ltd, Ishraq Cotton Mills Ltd and Ishraq Textile Mills Ltd are doing business under the group.

Abdullah Al Mamun is the managing director of Abed Textile Processing Mills.

Mr Rezaul Karim is the managing director of Group Reedisha.

The other elected directors of BTMA are, Md Mosharaf Hossain, Md Monir Hossain, Hossain Mehmood, Md Salehuzzaman Khan, Md Masud Rana, M Solaiman, Syed Enayet Kabir, Rajib Haider, Ishtehaq Ahmed Saikat, Monalisa Mannan, Md Abdullah Zubair, Zubair Ahmed, A Rahim Chowdhury, ASM Rakibul Hasan, Syed Nurul Islam, Md Hafizur Rahman Khan, Md Faizur Rahman Bhuiyan, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Md Kamrul Hasan, Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, Md Mohsin, Md Azhar Khan and Rashedul Hasan Rintu.
