Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Monday lodged cases against seven business entities in Dhaka city on charge of weight and measurement manipulation.
The cases were filed under the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 2018, according to a press release.
A BSTI surveillance team, led by Assistant Director Md Rezaul Karim, filed those cases during the drive in the capital's Modho Badda, Norda Bazar, and Baridhara area, the statement added.
The businesses are: M/S Dhaka Jewelers, M/S New Singapore Jewelers, M/S Future Traders and Fabrics, M/S Janani Traders, M/S HK Trading Corporation, M/S Madhuban Sweets, and M/S Bikramapur Mistimukh.
