BlackBerry KEYone enters Bangladesh market

BlackBerry KEYone Limited Edition Black is now available in the Bangladesh market through an Indian telecom enterprise.

BlackBerry Limited, a Canadian multinational company, signed a deal with Optiemus Infracom in February last year to manufacture the smartphone for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.

The Optiemus already launched the BlackBerry KEYone limited edition black in India and Sri Lanka.

Now, the Indian company partnered with CPL, concern of Bangladesh's renowned business conglomerate Union Group, to handle the distribution and retail operations of BlackBerry smartphones.

Delhi-based Optiemus Infracom Limited announced has brought the BlackBerry KEYone Limited Edition Black in the local market.

Optiemus Infracom organised a programme at a hotel in Dhaka on Thursday.

Smarphone buyers can book to get BlackBerry until January 21.

Addressing the launching event, Optiemus Infracom's Executive Director Hardip Singh said "this launching reiterates our commitment to expand into newer geographies."

He said BlackBerry KEYone limited edition black offers striking features, great camera quality, unmatched user interface and unparalleled productivity.

Buyers will get dual SIM capability with a metallic black frame and soft touch textured back.

The smartphone has a 4.5-inch scratch resistant display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 offering greater scratch resistance.

It combines a touch display with a physical keyboard to give users more useable space for typing.

The device comes with a 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM (expandable up to 2TB).

The device features an 8MP front facing camera and a wide-angle lens and a 12MP auto-focus rear camera, Outlook India said.
