Bangladesh Biman has earned TK 15.63 billion in revenue in the last quarter of this year which is the highest-ever quarterly income of the national flag carrier in its history.
This was revealed by the CEO of Biman Zahid Hossain in a press briefing on Thursday.
He said that in the said period Biman carried 808,040 passengers.
“We hope next year we can fulfil our target to carry 3.2 million passengers,” he said.
He pointed out that Biman has taken some measures to improve the ground handling services and now passengers can get their luggage in 45 minutes.
Responding to a question on ACC probe into the alleged corruption in purchasing two aircraft by Biman officials he said this organisation is providing all kinds of information to the ACC and is committed to extending all types of cooperation in this regard.
Reply Ito another question grading the allegations of harassment against female colleagues by a male pilot, the Biman CEO said that none of the female employees lodged any complaint so far.
‘We must take action if we get a written complain” he said.
