To kick start the first leg of their programme for seeking investment to Bangladesh, BIDA-DBCCI Trade and Investment Delegation held a seminar and B2B meetings at EIAS (European Institute for Asian Studies) in Brussels recently.
EIAS and Bangladesh Embassy in Belgium organised the seminar, according to a press release.
Bangladeshi businessmen and their Belgian counterparts took part in the B2B meetings, added the release.
Mr. Alexander Spachis, member of the Advisory board, EIAS chaired the programme.
Mr. Kazi Aminul Islam, leader of the delegation, gave the keynote speech.
In his speech Mr. Islam highlighted veritable investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
Mr. Faruque Hassan, President, DBCCI hoped the events will promote trade cooperation between the countries.
He also thanked all the participants for their active involvement.
The delegation consisted of 50 participants including BEZA, PPP, Ministry of Water, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Shipping, other government organisations and a selected group of renowned private businesses.
