Benapole port activity resumes after five-day

Export and import activities between Bangladesh and India through Benapole land port in Jessore district resumed on Monday night after five days of halt.

The land port activities remained suspended following a strike by Petrapole Customs Clearing & Forwarding Agents Association in India.

C & F agent staff welfare association of Petrapole in India went on a strike and suspended the activities at the port on Thursday following car pass complexities, reports UNB.

The import and export between two countries also remained suspended at the important busy land port till Thursday evening centring the issue.

Thousands of trucks loaded with imported and exported goods got stranded on both sides of the border.

After holding several meetings with the administration, they called off their strike at night.
