Benapole Custom House has been honoured with the 'World Bank Symbol of Appreciation Award 2019' for transparency in assessing imported goods, modernisation of import-export facilities, and quicker delivery of imported goods at the house.
Benapole Customs Commissioner Belal Hossain Chowdhury received the award at a seminar organised marking the International Customs Day (ICD) at National Board of Revenue (NBR) office in Dhaka city on Saturday, according to a UNB report.
Customs Commissioner Belal Hossain Chowdhury said, "The achievement was possible following cooperation from all stake holders of the house."
