Bangladesh has participated in the International Finance Forum 2017 Annual conference in China, said a statement.
The International Finance Forum (IFF) is an independent, non-profit and nongovernmental international organization, founded under the initiative of over 20 primary international organizations.
It is the largest international think-tank headquartered in China. This conference was arranged by the International Financial Forum (IFF), Guangdong Provincial People's Government and Guangzhou Municipal Government, with the theme of "Global Bay Area Development: New Drive, New Growth, New Order".
On Behalf of Bangladesh Shameem Ahsan, General Partner of Fenox Venture Capital and Chairman of eGeneration Group participated in the conference. Also from Bangladesh, Niaz A. Khan, Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, DMS Governance Ltd participated at the event.
The conference had notable expert speakers from various fields. speakers included Kevin Rudd, IFF Chairman and former Prime Minister of Australia; Han Seung-soo, IFF Co-chairman and former Prime Minister of Republic of Korea; Shaukat Aziz, IFF Co-chairman and former Prime Minister of Pakistan; LI Dongrong, President of National Internet Finance Association of China and Former deputy governor of the People’s Bank of China; George E Kannon, CEO of Arab Banker’s Association; Wei Qing, CTO of MicroSoft China; Dr. Mark Mobius, fund manager of Franklin Templeton Investments (also known as Father of Emerging Markets Funds); Eric Zheng, CEO and President of AIG Insurance Company China; Edmond Alphandery, former French finance minister and Jin Liquar, President, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
