Bangladesh Bank (BB) has extended the usance period for the import of Ophthalmic Medical Equipment to 180 days from 90 days, including intraocular lens.
“To facilitate the imports of Ophthalmic Medical Equipment, including Intraocular Lens, it has been decided that the deferred or usance period under supplier’s or buyer’s credit is extended up to 180 days from existing 90 days,” said a BB circular issued on Thursday, reports BSS.
Other relevant instructions in this context will remain unchanged, the circular added.
