A government agency on Tuesday wrote to Bashundhara Group to explain the reason of reduced supply of edible oil in the market in March, officials said.
The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has asked the chairman/managing director of the conglomerate to be present at its TCB Bhaban office today (Wednesday). The state agency has sought a proper explanation from the respondent to this end.
A DNCRP monitoring team visited the Keraniganj factory of the group Tuesday and found that the volume of oil supply has reduced significantly this month.
