The Bangladesh Bank has asked banks to return to normal working hours from Wednesday, maintaining social distancing measures and health guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The central bank on Monday said in a circular that all branches of all banks will have to reopen for transactions from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and bankers will have to stay at the bank premises till 6:00 pm to complete official tasks, reports BSS.
Earlier, the central bank instructed banks to operate banking activities on a limited scale between July 25 and August 5, from 10:00 am to 1.30 pm, instead of the normal timings.
