The Bankers' Club of Bangladesh (BCBL) inaugurated a new four-storey building in the capital's Uttara area on Saturday, says a press release.
Chairman of the Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB) and Managing Director of Eastern Bank Ali Reza Iftekhar was present at the ceremony as its chief guest.
He said, "Some dishonest individuals put everyone else in embarrassing situations but we have to remember that we are not working for personal gain. We must be more professional."
He also announced that Eastern Bank will set up a library for the members of the club.
President of the Bankers' Club of Bangladesh Abu Jafar Shamsuddin chaired the event while Managing Director of NRB Bank Mamun Mahmud Shah was present as a special guest.
Among others, Senior Vice President of the Executive Committee Muhammad Imtiaz Uddin, General Secretary Rashed Akter, Organising Secretary Shafiqul Islam Fakir, and Brand and Media Secretary Tareq Uddin also spoke at the event.
