Bank Asia started payment of monthly salary of a renowned garments factory in the country, Echotex Limited under Omni Channel account opening system, first of its kind in the country launched by Bank Asia.
More than 5,000 workers of the factory are receiving their monthly salary through the digital channel of Bank Asia.
In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the organizations in a ceremony held at the Corporate Office of the Bank at Purana Paltan in the capital city Dhaka on Thursday.
Mr. Md. Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia and Mr. ​​Mohammed Bin Quasem, Director of Echotex Limited inked the formal contract on behalf of respective organizations.
Mr. Muhammed Zahirul Alam and Mr. Mohammed Borhanuddin, Deputy Managing Directors, Mr. Sarder Akhter Hamed, SEVP & Head of Channel Banking Division of the Bank and Mr. ​Syed Abdul Mannan, ​Director and Mr. Anisur Rab Choudhury, Financial Controller of Echotex Limited were present, said a statement.
