Bangladesh and Vietnam have signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to promote bilateral cooperation in the areas of fisheries and livestock, industries and cultural exchange.
The MoUs were signed by the two countries after talks on Monday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led the Bangladesh delegation at the talks while visiting Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang his country side, reports news agency UNB.
The MoU on fisheries and livestock cooperation renewed a previous agreement signed in 2012.
Bangladesh Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayan Chandra Chanda and Vietnam Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Ceuong signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides, according to a bdnews24 report.
The MoU on machinery manufacturing cooperation between the Ministry of Industries of Bangladesh and the Ministry Industry and Trade of Vietnam was signed by Industries Secretary Mohammad Abdullah and Vietnamese Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung.
The MoU on cultural exchange programmes between the two countries was signed by Bangladesh Cultural Affairs Secretary Ibrahim Hossain Khan and Vietnamese Deputy Minister for Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien.
